The Marriott brand is well-established within downtown Toronto with options such as the Sheraton Toronto Centre, Delta Hotels by Marriott, The Westin Harbour Castle, The Ritz-Carlton and the Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre. But the Canadian division of the Marriott family is growing and Canada’s largest city is welcoming a new five-star hotel. the St. Regis Toronto.

Unveiling itself officially in November, The St. Regis Toronto is the newest addition to the iconic hotel brand created by New York City businessman, John Jacob Astor IV, in 1904. With 60 hotels and resorts around the world, the Toronto location is the first in Canada, and will continue the tradition of offering signature St. Regis amenities such as butler service, afternoon tea, midnight supper, a classic Bloody Mary and the Evening Ritual: champagne sabered each evening in the lobby lounge.

Currently known as The Adelaide Hotel Toronto (its previous incarnation was the infamous Trump International Hotel Toronto which opened in 2012), the transformation into a St. Regis Hotel is being completed while the hotel remains open.

Located in the center of the Financial District at Adelaide and Bay Streets, the hotel will feature a newly-renovated lobby and Astor Lounge, specialty suites reimagined by Chapi Chapo Design—who worked on St. Regis properties in Miami and the Riviera Maya—and 124 of the 258 rooms will offer luxurious décor accents especially welcome with winter on its way: living areas with wet bars and fireplaces. Additional coveted in-room amenities include oversized room windows, double vanity bathrooms with in-mirror television, soaker tubs and Nespresso machines.

The hotel will also welcome a new hot spot for Toronto foodies: LOUIX LOUIS Grand Bar & Restaurant located on the 31stfloor, featuring contemporary American cuisine and designed by Toronto’s Design Agency. And, after indulging in the food and drink, you can focus on your wellness needs at the hotel’s 24-hour fitness center with Technogym equipment and a yoga/Pilates studio, indoor salt water pool, whirlpool and two-level spa.
